Ke'Sha Blanton is in her second season at Florida State as a graduate assistant after moving to Tallahassee from the state of Ohio. Blanton's higher education classes began at the University of Toledo where she graduated with Cum Laude honors. Her undergraduate degree is in the field of communications with a concentration in broadcast journalism. She did her internship at a Toledo television station, WTOL 11, and continued to work for them after her internship was completed. While working in televsion she was in charge of shooting sports film, editing video and writing scripts. Blanton was also a reporter for UT 10 News and in her senior year became the news producer.

While attending the University of Toledo, Blanton spent much of her time coaching various basketball teams. She was the assistant coach for the boys' seventh and eighth grade team at Gesu Catholic School four years. She was the summer coach for Central Catholic High School's junior varsity and varsity teams for two years and was also the assistant coach for three years of Team Unity AAU. She coached in the Jimmy Jackson and Todd Mitchell Basketball camp for three years.

Blanton entered the graduate program at the University of Toledo and her major was in the area of counseling. She then found an experience that would continue to help her in her goal of college coaching. She spent her last two years in Toledo as the junior varsity coach of Notre Dame Academy (high school). Her team was the first to ever go undefeated in the city league in the school's history.

Blanton recently was granted a graduate assistantship at Florida State and is pursuing a masters degree in sports administration.
