TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State men's tennis team will send four of its members to tournaments this weekend. Two players will compete in the Midland Invitational in Texas, and two will be competing in the Troy State Invitational in Dothan Ala. Sophomores Rodrigo Laub and Joe Basset will head to the Midland Invitational to compete in both singles and doubles play. Basset faces Scott Eddins of TCU in first round singles play, and Laub faces Jarin Skube of Texas A & M. The tournament will begin Friday morning Oct. 20th, with competition continuing through Sunday. Seminoles Jeff Scarella and Reid McCree will begin tournament play Friday morning Oct. 20th, at the Troy State Invitational. Junior Scarella will face Ruben Herrera of Jacksonville State in Singles Flight A play. Freshman McCree faces Shomari Mosi of Alcorn State in Singles Flight B play. Scarella and McCree will team together in the tournament for doubles action. Tournament action will conclude Sunday afternoon. |
