TALLAHASSEE, FLA. - The 2013 All-ACC Men's Tennis Team was announced by Commissioner John Swofford on Thursday. Sophomore Dominic Cotrone was named to the team for the first time in his career.
"It's an honor to be named All-ACC with a lot of great players," said Cotrone. "I hope to continue to improve this summer and hopefully achieve greater things next year."
The Bradenton, Fla., native had a strong season in both singles and doubles this season. Cotrone ranked as high as No. 89 in the nation in singles and is currently ranked No. 14 in doubles with partner Blake Davis. On Wednesday, Cotrone was selected to the NCAA Doubles Championships later this month.
"I'm really pleased with Dominic making the team," said Hultquist. "It shows that his hard work and commitment this summer was worth it."
Cotrone holds a 26-15 singles record this season while playing on court one this spring. In doubles he is 25-11 and is 13-3 with Davis. In the last ten doubles matches, he and Davis have gone 8-2 including wins over the No. 1, 10, 14 and 22 teams in the nation.
