TALLAHASSEE, FL. -- The Florida State men's tennis team learned hours before their match against FAMU on Friday that two teammates had been awarded all-conference honors. Senior Mike Ingham and sophomore Xavier Luscan were selected to the All-ACC team which is voted on by the nine head coaches in the league. Ingham and Luscan are the first Seminoles since 1996 to be named All-ACC. Ingham is ranked 97th in the nation by the ITA and has won 10 of 19 matches at the No. 2 singles position this season for the 'Noles. Ingham went 3-1 against fellow All-ACC members this dual match season. Luscan, who is currently ranked No. 50 in the country by the ITA, went 15-8 at No. 1 singles this spring including wins over the 10th, the 18th and the 44th-ranked players in the nation. Luscan transferred to Florida State after playing a year at UCLA. Luscan and Ingham have led the Seminoles to a 13-10 record and a national ranking of No. 54. The Seminoles finished in fifth place in the ACC in 2000 and will host Florida A&M in their final regular season match this evening, April 28th, before hearing from the NCAA if they have been selected into the tournament.
