TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 27 Florida State men's tennis team (16-6) has their last road trip of the season this weekending beginning with a match against No. 26 Wake Forest (4-2) on Friday, April 12. The Seminoles close out the trip against No. 69 North Carolina (1-5) on Sunday.

"Wake Forest has had a great year," said head coach Dwayne Hultquist. "They are one of the most improved ACC teams from last year. The ACC is in a position where nine teams have the ability to make the tournament so every weekend away is tough. I'm pleased with the hard work we've put in this week and it's great to have this warm Florida weather to train in."

In the updated ITA rankings, Florida State is one of nine teams to have three doubles pairings to be ranked in the top 90. Ranked for the first time this season is sophomore Dominic Cotrone and junior Blake Davis coming in at No. 34. At No. 40 is senior Andres Bucaro and sophomore Benjamin Lock. Seniors Anderson Reed and Jordan Kelly-Houston make their first appearance of the season at No. 89. Cotrone is ranked No. 125 in singles.

Florida State defeated Wake Forest 5-2 last season. The Seminoles hold an all-time 20-9 record over the Demon Deacons. In doubles play they have on ranked duo in No. 47 David Hopkins and Amogh Prabhakar. Prabhakar is No. 62 in singles while Adam Lee is No. 105. The two teams face off at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last season the Florida State dropped to North Carolina 4-3 with UNC leading the all-time series 29-10. No. 81 in doubles is William Parker and Nelsen Vick. Esben Hess-Olesen is No. 31 in singles play. The teams square off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
