Feb. 15, 2001 FSU Men's Tennis Set To Host Seminole Spring Tournament
TALLAHASSEE, FL.-- The Florida State University men's tennis team is set to host their annual Seminole Spring Tournament this weekend. Tournament play will begin Friday, February 16th at 9:00 a.m., and will conclude Saturday afternoon with the final match being played at 3:00 p.m. No. 59 Florida State will face Tennessee Tech in the first round of the tournament, and the match begins Friday at noon. In the all-time series FSU leads Tennessee Tech 3-0. The last time the two schools met in dual match competition was in 1990. Other schools to participate in the tournament include Alabama-Birmingham, Central Florida, FAMU, Furman, No.63 Georgia State, and Troy State. Following this weekend's tournament the Seminoles will head to Coral Gables, Fl, for a match against rival No.22 Miami. The match is scheduled for Saturday February 24th at 1:30 PM.
