TULSA, Okla. - The Seminoles five day run at the ITA All-American Championships came to a close on Wednesday with losses in both singles and doubles. The Seminoles had a total of 12 selections to the tournament in the pre-qualifying and qualifying rounds.
In doubles play, senior Anderson Reed and sophomore Dominic Cotrone won their third round match to Connor Glennon and David O'Hare of Memphis 9-8 (5). With the momentum of the win behind them, the Seminoles stormed the court to compete against brothers Dominique Maden and Yannick Maden of Clemson. Florida State ended the match just short with an 8-5 loss.
Earlier in the day, sophomore Benjamin Lock fell in the final match of qualifying singles in three sets. He lost to Max Wennakoski of VCU 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 after winning two previous matches at the tournament.
The Seminoles return to the courts October 18 when Florida State hosts the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
