RALIEGH, N.C. - The No. 16-ranked Florida State men's tennis team rebounded from two consecutive ACC defeats with a 6-1 victory against No. 48 North Carolina State on Sunday in Raleigh, N.C.

The Seminoles (17-7, 6-2) started the match by sweeping doubles. On court three sophomore Clint Bowles and senior Chris Cloer defeated Justin Jendruch and Rob Lowe 8-4. FSU clinched the point on court two as seniors Drew Bailey and Maciek Sykut were victorious against Jay Weinacker and Jaime Pulgar 8-6. The sweep was made complete on court one after 25th-ranked juniors Jean-Yves Aubone and Vahid Mirzadeh beat Christian Welte and Julian Sullivan 9-7.

In singles, the Garnet and Gold won the first four matches to put the contest out of reach. FSU jumped out to a 2-0 lead on court six where senior Chris Cloer defeated the Wolfpack's Eric Turner in straight sets 6-4, 6-0. On court two No. 49-ranked Bowles defeated No. 118 Welte 6-4, 7-6(2). The Seminoles clinched the match on court three where Sykut defeated Derek Stephens in three sets 6-1, 2-6, 6-2. After dropping his first ACC match of the year No. 11-ranked Aubone rebounded with a 7-6(5), 7-6(3) win against No. 36 Weinacker on court one.

North Carolina State earned its only point of the match on court four where Pulgar defeated Mirzadeh in three sets 6-4, 6-7(6), 1-0(5). FSU's final point came on court five when Bailey rallied for a 6-7(4), 7-6(5), 1-0(6) victory against David Chermack.

Florida State will return home for the final two regular season ACC matches against Maryland on Friday at 5:00 p.m., and Boston College on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The Seminoles will honor their seniors on Friday before they face the Terrapins.
