March 28, 1998 GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Seminole tennis team swept doubles and picked up 4 of 6 victories during singles play to defeat Furman 5-2 at the Minor Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville, South Carolina. The win improved Florida State's record to 12-4 overall (2-2 in the ACC). FSU opened the match by capturing the doubles point with wins by No. 1 Ty Braswell and Davidson Kozlowski, No. 2 Alex Golub and Yvo Niks, and No. 3 Jay Travis and Michael Ingham. Florida State took four of the six singles matches, all in straight sets, to garner the team victory. No. 1 Ty Braswell led the way for FSU with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Furman's Sam Schroerlucke. No. 2 Yvo Niks, No. 3 Michael Ingham, and No. 5 Davison Kozlowski picked up FSU's other singles victories. The Seminoles will complete their weekend road trip with a Sunday afternoon match against conference-foe Clemson.
