Freshman Year (2006-07): Reached the finals of the J. Webb Horton Classic where he fell to Georgia Tech's David North 6-1, 6-2...Found success in the 2007 spring campaign losing only two of 13 matches in position six...Earned an overall 16-3 singles record while 7-2 in the ACC...Had a nine game winning streak with wins over Pepperdine's Mahmoud Kamel 7-6, 1-6, 6-2 and Aaron Carpenter of Duke 4-6, 6-3, 6-4...played a significant roll in doubles as he teamed with senior Ytai Abougzir to go 8-2 for the season...helped the Seminoles earn a doubles point over Florida in the 2007 NCAA Regionals after defeating Briceno and Barton in position two 8-5...Also teamed with fellow freshman Jean-Yves Aubone to help Florida State defeat UF's Cash and Barton 8-6 and later Carregor and Nieto of Miami 8-2.

High School and Other Accomplishments: Mixson joins Florida State as the fourth-ranked player in the state of Florida (Boy's 18) and No. 14 in the country...In 2005 he found tremendous success in doubles action, as he was named the ITF Doubles Champion at the South Carolina International Tournament USA, Illinois International Tournament USA, and Florida International Tournament USA...During play at the Atlanta International Tournament USA (2005), Mixson advanced to the quarterfinals round in singles...Winning in Tallahassee is no problem for him as he clinched the 2005 Tallahassee National Open Boy's 18 Doubles Championship...Furthermore, Mixson placed seventh at the Boy's 18 National Clay Court Championships.
