Seminoles Men And Women Come Up Short Against Alabama

TALLAHASSEE, Fla - The Seminoles went into Tuscaloosa and came away with a valiant effort against the University of Alabama. The men (6-5) came up just short against No. 20 Alabama (2-3) 153-145, despite winning nine events on the day. The Seminoles had strong performance by Nnamnse Ammons, Devin Crock, and Greg Main-Baillie. Ammons captured the 50 Freestyle in a time of 20.99. Devin Crock swept both the 100 and 200 Butterfly events, achieving a personal best time of 1:52.32 in the 200 Fly. The versatile Greg Main-Baillie won both the 100 and 200 Backstroke events, achieving a personal best time of 1:49.97 in the 200. Ammons, Crock, and Main-Baillie also paced the men to victory in both the 400 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay events.
In diving, FSU swept the one-meter and three-meter diving events with Josh Edelman and Lou Dondero finishing first and second, respectively in each event.
The Seminoles will finish out their trip to Alabama with a meet against nationally ranked Auburn on Saturday, January 20. The Lady Tigers come into this meet undefeated at 7-0, while the men are 5-1. The Seminoles final home meet will be on February 3 when they face-off against LSU.
