Joined the team in January from the University of Miami...experience as an All-American will add depth and experience gives him the ability to compete at highest levels of competition.

1999: Was a member of the 16th place 800 Free Relay and competed in the 100 and 200 Fly and the 200 Free at the NCAA Championships...finished 4th in the 200 Free, 5th in the 200 Fly and 12th in the 500 Free and was a member of the champion 800 Free Relay at the ACC Championships in February...took 3rd in the 200 Free, 5th in the 200 Fly and 500 Free against Virginia... was 2nd in the 500 Free, 3rd in the 200 Free and 5th in the 100 Fly against LSU...finished 9th in the 500 Free and 11th in the 200 Free at the Dallas Morning News Invitational.

At Miami: Garnered honorable mention All-American honors after finishing 12th in the 200 Fly at the 1997 NCAA Championships...won the 200 Fly in a championship record time of 1:47.63, finished 4th in the 500 Free and 8th in the 100 Fly at the 1997 BIG EAST Championships...recorded Miami's top times in the 100 Fly (49.87) and 200 Fly (1:47.28) in 1997...earned all-conference honors in 1997...member of the 1996-97 BIG EAST Academic All-Stars...made the 1997 spring dean's list.

PREP: Represented Venezuela in the 1996 Summer Olympics...finished 20th in the 200m Fly at the medalist in the 200m Fly at the 1995 Pan-American Games...1999 Bronze Medalist at the Latin Cup in the 200 Fly...finalist in the 200 Fly and on the 4th place 800 Free Relay at the 1999 Pan-American games
