Cristobal Del Solar was born in Reñaca, Chile on October 11th, 1993. Not long after birth, at the age of three, Cristobal picked up a club and started playing golf. A dual citizen of Chile and Germany, Cristobal is extremely effective off the tee, which will allow him to shorten even some of the longest courses that he will play during his career at Florida State. He has proven his abilities by winning both the 2009 and 2010 Chilean Jr. Open tournaments. Cristobal received offers from six other top Universities before committing to Florida State. The Seminoles are expecting big things from him next season. Seminoles.com spoke with the Chilean native recently. Here's what he had to say.
Name one strength of your game, as well as one thing you'd like to improve upon this year?
So you represented Chile in the world amateurs in October. How did it feel to represent your country in such a prestigious event?
What's one thing your teammates don't know about you?
Which pro golfer would you most like to emulate, and why?
What's the best part about living in Tallahassee?
