TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State University men's golf team closes out its fall schedule as its travels to play in the 15th annual University of Tennessee/Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions Oct. 21-22. The event will be played at the Holston Hills Country Club, a par 72, 6,948-yard course in Knoxville. Holston Hills was designed by Donald Ross in 1927, and most recently renovated in 1999. The course is rated among the top three courses in Tennessee by Golf Digest and is rated among the top 50 classic courses in America by GolfWeek. The tournament uses a 54-hole format with 326 holes scheduled for Monday and 18 holes to conclude the event Tuesday.

THE 2002 COCA-COLA TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS PARTICIPANTS Florida State is joined by Chattanooga, the College of Charleston, East Tennessee State, Georgia, Georgia State, Louisiana State, Mississippi State, UNC Wilmington, South Alabama, Tennessee, Tulane, Vanderbilt and Virginia commonwealth in the 15th annual Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions hosted by the University of Tennessee.

MOSLEY CONTINUES TO PLAY WELL FOR FLORIDA STATE Sophomore Rusty Mosley (Vidalia, Ga.) led the Seminoles with a two-round total of 141 and finished in a tie for 10th-place in the individual standings at the rain-shortened Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Invitational last week. Mosley carded a 70 in the second round after beginning the event with a 71 in the first round. Mosley established personal career-bests for tournament stroke average (70.5), tournament score vs. par (-3) and individual finish (tied 10th). Mosley's finish was the first top-10 finish during his 12 tournament collegiate career.

WALLACE MAKES DEBUT FOR SEMINOLES Freshman Adam Wallace (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) made his collegiate debut at the Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate. He finished in a pack of 10 players who all tied for 28th-place in the individual standings. Wallace closed the tournament with a one-over par 73 after carding an even-par 72 in the first round. He was tied for 22nd at the end of play in round one. The Class A Boy's Golf Champion in the state of Florida as a senior at Nease High School, Wallace was one of 36 golfers to shoot even par or better in the first round.

FLORIDA STATE AT THE GARY KOCH/CLEVELAND GOLF INVITATIONAL Florida State finished in 10th place in the team standings and Rusty Mosley finished in a tie for 10th-place in the individual standings as the rain-shortened Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Invitational came to a close at the Old Memorial Golf Course. The event was shortened to two rounds and 36 holes (from three rounds and 54 holes) because of inclement weather. Florida State earned its fourth consecutive top-10 finish this fall as it finished with a 580 total for the two-round event. The Seminoles totaled 287 in Monday's first round and 293 in Tuesday's second round.

SEMINOLE HOLE-IN-ONES Sophomore Rusty Mosley is averaging nearly four strokes per round fewer this season as compared to his first season as a Seminole (72.38-76.15)...Freshman Gonzalo Ibarraran (Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico) has played in each of the last three events and carded his career low round of 73 in the third round of the Mason Rudolph Championship.
