TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 13 Florida State men's golf team is set to tee off at the ACC Championship this weekend at the Old North State Club in New London, North Carolina. The 11 ACC teams are competing in the three-day event at the par 72, 7102 yard course. The Seminoles tee off at 11:10 a.m. with Duke and Georgia Tech.
"Four wins would be amazing this year, but I just want to go out to the ACCs and continue to play like we have been playing," said head coach Trey Jones. "You can't control it always in golf, you can't play defense. I'm just looking forward for us to continue to get better and do what we have been doing. If our putters are rolling and our guys are playing well, then we're going to have a chance. It's going to take great golf by whoever wins."
Berger has won two tournaments this year at the Gator Invitational and the Seminole Intercollegiate and has six finishes in the top five. This is the ninth tournament for Seiffert this season with his best showing at the Seminole Intercollegiate as he finished tied for second. This is also the ninth showing for Letson this season and finished tied for third at the Gator Invitational.
Caron is playing in his eighth tournament and is coming off of his first collegiate win (Gary Koch Invitational). Lebioda has also had a successful freshman campaign and finished fifth at the USF Invitational.
