TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State was led once again by sophomore golfer Matt Adcock as the team finished in a tie for eighth place with a total score of 876 at the 34th annual Seminole Intercollegiate men's golf tournament at the Golden Eagle Country Club in Tallahassee, Fla. Adcock completed the tournament in a tie for 11th place with a 3-round total score of 214.

Adcock (Apopka, Fla.) finished tournament-play two-under par to place him in a tie for 11th place with a total score of 214. He also carded career-low scores of 71 in the second and third rounds to complete the tournament. The 214 total is the best of his career which breaks his previous career-best score of 220 that he carded at the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions to close the fall season.

Mark Sestilio (Punta Gorda, Fla.) rounded out the top-20 leader board in a three-way tie for 20th place. Sestilio improved on a 75 opening round score carding a two-under par 70 in the second round. He finished the tournament with a third round score of 73 and a 218 total score.

Rusty Mosley (Vidalia, Ga.) was not far behind as he finished in a tie for 28th place in the individual standings with a 220 total score. It seemed as he kept getting more comfortable with every round he played as he improved his score every round after carding a 76 in the first round. Mosley shot a 73 in the second round and went one-under par with a score of 71 in the third and final round.

Adam Wallace (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) and Brad Lusenhop (Gloversville, NY.) both put in valiant efforts for the Seminoles. Wallace finished in a tie for 62nd place and Lusenhop managed to tie for 69th in the individual standings.

Next week the Seminoles will travel to Aiken, S.C. to compete in the Cleveland Golf Collegiate at the Palmetto Country Club on March 17-18.

The University of North Carolina took home the championship by beating out Wake Forest University 849 to 855. The Tar Heels also won the individual championship as Dustin Bray finished eleven-under par with a 205 total score. Bray carded a score of 67 in the first and third round to take home the trophy.
