TAMPA, Fla. - The Florida State University men's golf team finished in 10th place in the team standings and sophomore Rusty Mosley finished in a tie for 10th-place in the individual standings as the rain-shortened Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Invitational came to a close at the Old Memorial Golf Course. The event was shortened to two rounds and 36 holes (from three rounds and 54 holes) because of inclement weather. The second round was halted Monday because of lightning in the area.

Florida State earned its fourth consecutive top-10 finish this fall as it finished with a 580 total for the two-round event. The Seminoles totaled 287 in Monday's first round and 293 in Tuesday's second round.

Sophomore Rusty Mosley (Vidalia, Ga.) led the Seminoles with a two-round total of 141 and finished in a tie for 10th-place in the individual standings. Mosley carded a career-low 70 in Tuesday's second round. Mosley's finish was the first top-10 finish during his 12 tournament collegiate career.

Junior Alan Beers (Midlothian, Va.) and freshman Adam Wallace (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) finished in a pack of 10 players who tied for 28th-place in the individual standings. Beers carded a two-over par 74 in the second round while Wallace closed the tournament with a one-over par 73. Wallace was competing in his first career event for the Seminoles.

For the third straight year, the University of Florida men's golf team brought home the team title in the event. Three Gator golfers shot below par, as Florida totaled a nine-under par 279 in the second round of the tournament. Vanderbilt's Brandt Snedeker and Ohio State's Zach Doran shared individual co-medalist honors with a nine-under 135.

Florida State closes out its fall season as it travels to play in the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions in Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 21-22.
