MACON, Ga. - Junior All-American candidate Brooks Koepka finished in a tie for third place, three Seminoles finished in the top 25 of the individual standings and the Seminoles defeated three teams ranked ahead of them in finishing in third place in the final team standings at the Brickyard Invitational at the Brickyard Golf Course. Koepka earned his second consecutive top three individual finish as the Seminoles played their best tournament of the fall season in topping the list of the five ACC teams that played in the event including No. 17 ranked Georgia Tech.

Georgia, with individual medalist Russell Hanley leading the way, won the team championship with a one stroke victory over last year's national champion Augusta State. The Seminoles finished six strokes behind Georgia and four strokes ahead of Georgia Tech in an early season battle for ACC supremacy.

Koepka (Wellington, Fla.) finished under par for the second time in as many tournaments. He finished the tournament with a one-under par score of 71 and has carded sub par scores in five of his last six rounds in his last two tournaments. Koepka finished in second place at last week's Gary Koch Invitational with three scores under par.

In the final round of the Brickyard, Koepka was sensational late in the round as he finished three under par over his final 10 holes of the afternoon. He totaled four birdies on his final 10 holes after carding two bogeys on his first eight holes. Koepka led the Seminoles with 14 birdies during the tournament including seven during his second round when he carded a team low five under par 67.

Drew Kittleson (Scottsdale, Ariz.) finished in a tie for 13h place with a three round total of one under par 215. He carded a five under par total of 139 in the second and third rounds with a 69 in the second round and a two under par 70 in the third round. Kittleson spent the entire third round at or below par and highlighted his rounds with an eagle three on the par 5 hole No. 12.

Kittleson totaled 10 birdies and one eagle over the 54 holes he played during the tournament. He was above par for only one hole over the final two rounds of the tournament.

Junior Wesley Graham (Port Orange, Fla.) played his best golf of the tournament as he carded a three under par score of 69 in the final round to finish in a tie for 21st place in the individual standings. He has now earned two top 25 and three top 30 finishes in three tournaments for the Seminoles this fall.

Sophomore Doug Letson (Tampa, Fla.) played well over the final two rounds of the tournament with scores of 71 and 73 in the second and third rounds. He totaled an even par 144 over his final 36 holes. Junior Kyle Cobb (Tallahassee, Fla.) played his best golf of the event with identical scores of 75 in the first and third rounds of the tournament.

Florida State closes its fall season at the US Collegiate Championship Oct. 24-26 in Alpharetta. The Seminoles have earned two top five team finishes in their last two events - fifth at the Gary Koch Intercollegiate and third at the Brickyard Invitational.
