Kittleson Continues To Lead Men's Golf Team At Olympia Fields

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. -
Florida State University sophomore Drew Kittleson shot a one over par 71 and remained in a tied for fifth place in the individual standings while the Seminole men's golf team moved up to 10th place in the team standings. The Seminoles shot 11 strokes better as a team in the second round then they did in the first round.
Kittleson shot a one-over par 71 in the second round and has a two-round total of 141. He trails Kevin Foley of Penn State, the overall individual leader, by three stokes. Foley has carded back to back rounds of 69 and has a two round total of 138.
Oklahoma State moved into the team lead and holds a one shot advantage over Illinois with 18 holes remaining to be played. The Cowboys were in second place after the first round and carded the best team score of the second round to move into the team lead.
The Seminoles had three players shoot 72 or better (Kittleson, Seath Lauer, 72 and Brooks Koepka, 72) as compared to the first round when only player shot 72 or better.
The final round of the event is scheduled to be played on Sunday.
