Men's Golf Tied for Fourth at Billy Hitchcock Intecollegiate

AUBURN, AL--The Florida State men's golf team is tied for fourth after the second round of the Billy Hitchcock Intecollegiate at the Saugahatchee Country Club. The Seminole team score of 583 ties them with Louisiana State University and South Carolina. All three teams are two strokes behind third-place Arkansas.
Senior George McNeill is in second place after firing a 70 in Saturday's round. McNeill, a senior from N. Fort Myers, is three strokes out of the lead with a two-day total of 139. Mark Monroe repeated his first-round 72 with a 72 on Saturday to stand tied for 11th with three golfers. Barry Dyche is tied for 27th after a 76 in the second round and a two-round total of 149. Jason Pool rebounded from a 76 in the first round to post a 75 to be tied for 30th with one round to play. Nathan Bertsch rounded out the scoring for the Seminoles with a 76. Bertsch is tied for 42nd.
The University of Georgia is running away with the team competition, leading host Auburn University by 14 strokes. Michael Morrison of Georgia continues to lead in individual play, three shots ahead of McNeill.
The final round of the tournament will take place tomorrow morning.
