GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Freshman Michael Hebert finished in a career best tied for seventh place to lead the No. 9 ranked Florida State men's golf team to a second place finish at the Gator Invitational at the Mark Bostic Golf Course at the University of Florida. Hebert finished with a four over par score of 214 to lead four Seminoles in the top 15 of the individual standings of Florida State's second tournament of the spring season.

Florida outpaced the 14 team field to win the championship by 18 strokes over Florida State and by 28 strokes over Chattanooga. The host Gators finished with the best team scores in the final two rounds of the tournament. Jonathan Randolph of Old Miss scored a three under par 67 in the final round to win the individual championship with an even par total of 210 for the three round event. He finished with a one stroke advantage of Andrew Loupe of LSU.

Hebert finished with his career best finish (tied for seventh) and the second best total score of his career (214). He bettered his previous best finish of tied for 10th at the Gary Koch Invitational. Hebert finished his best career single round score of 67 in the first round of this event.

Junior Drew Kittleson led the Seminoles in the third round with a team-best one under par score of 69. His 215 score allowed him to gain the ninth career top 15 finish of his career. Also finishing in the top 15 were senior Seath Lauer (tied for 15th) and sophomore Brooks Koepka (tied for 15th).
