On Kittleson: Earned the prestigious honor of playing in the 2009 Master's Championship at Augusta...soaked in the immense history of the outstanding event as he spent nine straight days on the grounds and playing among the greatest golfers in the world...lived in the famous Crows Nest, played a practice round with Phil Mickelson and played his first round with 1987 Master's Champion Larry Mize...made two of the top shots of the event with eagles during the second round of the event to himself two pairs of crystal goblets...earned the honor of playing in the 2009 Master's and US Open Championships with a second place finish at the 2008 US Amateur Championship...earned All-Southeast Regional All-American honors in 2009...earned All-ACC honors in 2009 to mark the first time in his career that he had been named as one of the ACC's top golfers during his career...10 wins against the top 12 ranked players in the ACC and ranked third in the ACC with 27 wins over players ranked in the nation's top 51-100 players...a member of the Seminoles lineup and helped the team win the first-ever ACC golf championship in Florida State history and earn a No. 3 seed in the NCAA West Regional Championship in 2008...career-best score of 66 came in the second of the Spring 2009 Hawaii Hilo Invitational...best 36-hole score came twice during his sophomore season: in the first two rounds of the fall 2008 Fighting Illini Invitational (70-71) and in the first two rounds of the spring 2009 Gator Invitational...best career-tournament score came at the spring 2008 Gator Invitational as he finished as the Seminoles' third ranking golfer with an eight under par score of 208...his best three round tournament score allowed him to earn a career-best tied for ninth place individual finish...has earned five top-10 finishes (spring 2008 Gator Invitational, spring 2008 ACC Championship, spring 2009 Gator Invitational, spring 2009 Seminole Intercollegiate and during stroke play at the spring 2009 Callaway Match Play championship) and five additional top 20 finishes in his first two seasons....averages 73.23 strokes in 59 rounds during 21 events entering his third season as a Seminole...
Fall 2007: Immediately joined the Seminoles' line-up and played in all four events...finished third on the team in stroke average and third with six rounds scored at 75 or better...best event came at the PNG/GolfWeek Preview with a tie for 29th place finish...finished with a 223 total and back-to-back scores of 74 in the second round of the event...earned his best score of seven-strokes over par in the preview...scored a three-over par score of 74 in his fist career round at the Inverness Intercollegiate...the Seminoles counted two of his first three career scores in earning the team title at the Inverness...the team championship was the first for the program since 1998...carded the best round of his first collegiate season as he finished with a 73 in the first round of the UCF/Isleworth Collegiate...played the first round of the Fighting Illini Invitational and was forced to withdraw because of an illness...averaged 74.90 strokes in 10 rounds during four tournaments...
Spring 2008: Helped lead the Seminoles to a No. 7 national ranking, the first ever ACC Championship in school history and to a No. 3 seed in the NCAA West Regional Championship...played in every event during his freshman season - four in the fall and seven in the spring for a total of 11...ranked fourth in the team in stroke average, tied for second on the team with scores at par or better (nine) and second for rounds scored in the 60's (four)...the Seminoles finished in the top five in six of their seven fall events...his career-best single-round score of 68 came three times - in the second and third round of the Gator Invitational and in the second round of the ACC Championship...his three rounds of 68 were tied for the eight best single round scores during the year for the highly ranked Seminoles...Kittleson's appearance in the Seminoles starting lineup in the NCAA West Regional championship marked the third consecutive season a freshman played for Florida State in the NCAA Tournament...Matt Savage and Nicholas Smith played as freshmen in 2005 and Seath Lauer and Cameron Knight played as freshmen in 2006...tied for second on the team with two events played under par during the season (minus 2 at the spring 2008 Gator Invitational and -6 at the spring 2008 ACC Championship)...Florida State's third leading finisher with a career-best tied for sixth place finish in the ACC Championship in leading the Seminoles to the team championship for the first time in school history...he was very consistent in his first career ACC Championship with scores of 72-68-70 to finish at a career-best six strokes under par and in a career-best tied for sixth place in the individual standings...after an even par 72 in the first round he was in a tie for 21st place...he moved up to a tie for sixth place with his 68 in the second round and stayed in that spot with a 70 to close out the event...he was never above even, and with two eagles during the event, was as many a four stroke below par during the event...was on fire at the Gator Invitational with scores of 72-68-68 for a career-best three round total of 208...his back-to-back rounds of 68 are the best two consecutive rounds of his career...finished in a toe for ninth in the event to gab his first career top-10 finish...his 208 total at the Gator Invitational was the third best tournament score of the year amongst his Seminole teammates...a near career-best score of 69 in the third round of the Florida State hosted Seminole Intercollegiate... carded rounds of 70 and 69 on the same day in earning a finish of tie for 11th place...he moved up from a tie for 29th place after shooting a 78 in the first round to finish the event with the second top 15 finish of his career...a total of minus five under par in back-to-back events at the River Landing Invitational (+1) and the ACC Championship (-6)...was minus-one under par in consecutive outings at the Gator Invitational (-two) and the Seminole Intercollegiate (+1)...counted 83.3 percent of his scores (17.5 of 21) toward the team score during the season...averaged 73.48 strokes in 21 rounds during seven tournaments...
Fall 2007: Played in three events and helped the Seminoles to three top 10 finishes...the Seminoles' most consistent golfer with eight of nine scores carded between 70 and 74 during the fall season...finished as Florida State's second highest finishing golfer in all three tournaments during the fall season...finished in a tie for 11th place in the Olympia Fields Invitational in leading the Seminoles to a seventh place finish at the famed Olympia Fields Country Club...his 11th place finish marked the fifth time in his career that he had finished in the top 15 of the individual standings of a tournament...played well at the PING / GolfWeek Preview as led the Seminoles in the final round with a one-over par score of 72. He played his final two rounds of the event at three over par after playing the first round at six over par...finished his first nine holes of the afternoon at even par and was one over par on his back nine. Included in his 15 holes at par or better during the round were three birdies...averaged 72.78 strokes in nine rounds in nine rounds during three tournaments.
Spring 2008: Played in the 2009 Masters Championship at Augusta and acquitted himself very well on the biggest stage in golf...played a practice round with Phil Mickleson on the Tuesday before the event began...played with 1987 Masters Champion Larry Mize in the first round...earned two crystal goblets for two eagle holes on his second day of the event...eagled the 11th and 15th holes in the second round...followed Tigers Woods for nine holes on Saturday...earned All-ACC honors along with teammate Matt Savage for the first time in his career...individually, he was ranked as high as No. 63 in the GolfWeek/Sagarin Performance index and No. 96 in the GolfStat Cup standings...carded the lowest single round score of his career (66) in the second round of the Hawaii Hilo Invitational...best career scores for 36 holes (141) at the Fall 2008 Fighting Illini Invitational and at the Spring 2009 Gator Invitational...ranked third on the team in stroke average and second on the team with 16 scores at 75 or better...helped lead the Seminoles into the NCAA Tournament for the second time in his career...played in his second career NCAA Regional championship with a tied for 64th place finish in the NCAA Southeast Regional at the Red Tail Golf Club in Sorrento, Fla...carded even par scores of 71 in the first and third rounds...earned a career-best three top-10 finishes with a tied for sixth place finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate, a tied for seventh place finish during stroke play at the Callaway Match Play Championship and a tied for ninth place finish at the Gator Invitational...now has five top-10 finishes during his career...was a total of even par through the first five tournaments of the spring...six of his fort 11 round of the spring were played under par...carded scores of 66, 68 and 69 - the fifth, sixth and seventh times in his career that he has earned scores in the 60's...second career event finished at under par with a minus one total of 209 at the Gator Invitational which was good for a tied for ninth place finish...also finished under par (minus six) at the 2008 ACC Championship...led the Seminoles to a fourth place team finish in the event...with scores of 71-70-68 on the par 70 course to finish with two of three rounds under par...also finished the stroke play segment of the Callaway Match Play Championship at one-under par with a two round total of 143 and scores of 70 of 73...led the Seminoles to a tied for second place finish in stroke play and a tied for third place finish in the match play segment of the championship...was 1-2 in match play as the Seminoles won finished 1-1-1 to finish tied with UCLA in the match play standings...led Florida State to a third place finish in the Seminole Intercollegiate with a tied for sixth place finish and an even par score of 216...shot a 69 in the first round as was in fourth place in the individual standings after the first round of the event...never dropped out of the top 10 of the individual standings with his strong play...averaged a career-low 72.32 strokes in 19 round during seven tournaments...
Before Florida State: Graduated from Pinnacle High School in 2007...spent the fall semester of his senior season at the IMG Academy in Florida before returning to Pinnacle for his final high school semester...named to the AJGA All-America First-Team in 2006...ranked No. 1 nationally among all juniors during the 2006 season by GolfWeek Magazine...ranked third nationally by GolfWeek during the 2007 season...a Rolex All-America Second-Team selection in 2005...advanced to the round of 16 at the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2006...shot a 66 in the final round of the Rolex Tournament of Champions in 2006....played in the 2006 U.S. Amateur...earned the individual Division I individual title during his sophomore season...led Pinnacle to the 2003 and 2005 state championship titles...won the Heather Farr Classic in 2005 as he finished with a three-under par score of 139 (69-70)...finished first in a field of 84 players to win at the Dellwood Hills Golf Club with a pair of 69s to shoot 6-under-par in 2005...won the Leonard/Deloitte Junior Team Championship with partner Brett Spencer in 2006.
