On Cobb: Enjoyed a fine career as a three-year member of the Seminole men's golf team and received his undergraduate (political science in 2011) and will receive his graduate degree (integrated marketing communications in 2013) from Florida State...completed the final 3.5 years of his academic and athletic career at Florida State (2009-12) after spending the first 1.5 years of his collegiate career at USF (2008-09)...played as a graduate student member of the team during the fall 2011 and spring 2012 seasons...a member of three NCAA Championship teams at Florida State and helped the Seminoles to a third place finish at the NCAA Championship finals in 2010...played in 15 career tournaments including a career high seven as a senior member of the Seminole men's golf team during the fall of 2010 and the spring of 2011...earned his way into the Seminoles' starting line-up in each of the seven events he played in as a senior in 2010-11...played well as a freshman at UCF in 2007-08 but took a redshirt year and did not play for the Knights during the 2008-09 fall or spring seasons...carded his career low score of 68 in the third round of the spring 2012 Seminole Intercollegiate...best event of his career came in the spring 2012 Seminole Intercollegiate when he carded his career low single round score of 68 in the third round and his career low tournament score of 213 in finishing in a tie for 20th place in the individual standings in helping Florida State to the team championship in the event...named to the 2011 All-ACC Academic Men's Golf Team and to the 2011 ACC Academic Roll in 2010, 2011 and 2012...played in the U.S. Amateur in both 2006 and 2011...averaged 74.16 strokes in 45 rounds during 15 career tournaments... Spring 2011: Boosted Florida State to its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance as he played well in four tournaments from the Seminoles' starting line-up...a total of 10 strokes over par in back to back events - the USF Invitational and the Seminole Intercollegiate - which helped the Seminoles right their ship after a tough start to the spring season...five consecutive rounds scored at 74 or better in the two tournaments as Florida State finish in second place at USF and in third place in the Seminole...averaged 73.16 strokes in the six rounds of the two tournaments in finishing in a tie for 35th and a tie for 29th in the two tournaments...tied his Seminole best for a single round score with a 71 in the second round of the USF Invitational...three scores at 74 or better (74-72-73) in helping Florida State to a third place team finish at the Seminole Intercollegiate...played well in the Gator and was among the leaders after the first round as he carded a 73...finished the event with a third round score of 73 and in a tie for 41st place in the individual standings...closed out his season with an even par score of 72 in the final round of the Linger Longer Invitational...only one round above a 76 in his first three events of the spring season...averaged 74.33 strokes in 12 rounds during four tournaments... Fall 2011: Helped lead Florida State to a second place finish in the team standings at the Brickyard Collegiate in the only event in which he appeared in during the season...counted two of his three scores towards to the Seminoles' team score as they finished in second place out of 15 teams in the event...two scores of 75 (in the first and third rounds) helped him finish with a three round total of 226...the Seminoles never fell below third place in the team standings in any of the three rounds played in the event...averaged 75.33 strokes in three rounds during one tournament... Spring 2012: Played in three events and helped Florida State earn its seventh consecutive bid to the NCAA Regional Championships...helped the Seminoles to a pair of team championships - the Seminole Intercollegiate and the FAU Spring Break Invitational - as a member of Florida State's line-up...the best performance of his career came in helping the Seminoles to the team championship at the Seminole Intercollegiate...carded a career best score of 68 in the third round, finished with a career best 213 total for the three round event and finished with a career best to par score of even...his play allowed him to earn a tied for 20th place finish in the individual standings - which tied his career best finish during his three year career as a Seminole...was a total of four strokes over par in his final two events with an even par score of even in the Seminole Intercollegiate and a four over par score of 217 in the FAU Spring Break Invitational...each of the final six scores of his career were carded at 75 or better with his score of 68 coming in the Seminole Intercollegiate...finished his career with a pair of top 25 wins - tied for 20th at the Seminole Intercollegiate and tied for 24th in the FAU Spring Break Invitational to mark the second time in his career that he had earned consecutive top 25 finishes...averaged a career low tying 73.00 strokes in nine rounds during three tournaments...
