TPD Announces Football Traffic Pattern

Tallahassee has kicked off the 2012 Florida State University football season. With it comes a traffic pattern to assist with moving fans to and from the games and related events. The City of Tallahassee is excited about the new football season and reminds motorists to expect delays as we celebrate our college football season. We have provided a map of the FSU Football home game traffic routing post game (PDF). Listed below are the major roadways affected by the events surrounding the FSU home games:

Gaines Street
As the revitalization efforts continue along Gaines Street, which limits traffic capacity in that area, a POST-GAME traffic pattern will be used by fans parked in Booster Lot 14 (the FSU intramural fields) or to the west of Woodward Avenue. POST-GAME traffic beginning at Gaines Street and Woodward Avenue will be directed west to Lake Bradford Road. Traffic will then proceed south on Lake Bradford Road, where motorists will be able to choose to turn east or west onto Orange Avenue or continue south on Lake Bradford Road to Capital Circle.

PRE-GAME AND POST-GAME traffic on Gaines Street will remain one-way westbound between Railroad and Woodward Avenues.

Pensacola Street
PRE-GAME traffic from Monroe Street to Doak Campbell Stadium will be one-way westbound. POST-GAME traffic will be one-way eastbound to Monroe Street.

FSU Game Day Shuttle
Fans are encouraged to park at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center and ride the shuttle to the game. Star Metro will provide bus services to and from the game for a nominal fee.

College Avenue
Closed 4 p.m.-11 p.m. from South Monroe Street to Bronough Street.

Adams Street
Closed 4 p.m.-11 p.m. from West Park Avenue to West Jefferson Street.
