Florida State Practice Report
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 1 Florida State Seminoles continued prepartion for No. 10 Florida with 20 periods of practice in sweats and shoulder pads this afternoon.
The squad started the session with kicking and then worked against the scout team in team and individual drills. The Seminoles also had an 11-on-11 scrimmage for 10 minutes in the middle of practice.
"We're pretty close to 100 percent," said head coach Bobby Bowden. "I think we've had good practices. We're looking like we know more of what we're trying to do."
"The weather has cooperated real good," commented Bowden. "It rained last week and we had to be inside. This week we really needed to be outside."
"The kicking game in both of last year's games was vital," said Bowden. "With the blocked punt we had in the first game and in the second game they pinned down on our one-yard line."
INJURY REPORT: Sebastian Janikowski had the flu. Samari Rolle (ankle) and Marvin Minnis (shoulder) both practiced but were held out of contact.
