FSU Prepares for Battle with Terps
TALLAHASSEE, FL -- Fifth-ranked Florida State finalized preparations for Saturday's Atlantic Coast Conference opener against Maryland on Thursday afternoon at Ed Williamson Practice Fields. The Seminoles worked out in shorts for 75 minutes underneath sunny skies.
"We worked solely on our game plan," said FSU head coach Bobby Bowden. "We are going to try to improve on everything that we did wrong last week."
Florida State worked against its scout team offense and defense while also practicing special situations.
"We finished up a good week of practice today," said Bowden. "Maryland should provide a good test for us on Saturday. I expect them to be very aggressive and lay it all on the line."
The Seminole injury of note is middle linebacker Daryl Bush. Bush, who sprained his ankle in the USC game last week, is listed as doubtful for Saturday's contest, which kicks off at 3:30 and will be televised by ABC Sports.
