FSU Gets Its Kicks In Following Scrimmage
TALLAHASSEE, FL -- The No. 3 Florida State Seminoles held a kicking practice today after last night's final preseason scrimmage.
The session lasted 30 minutes and included punting, punt block and kickoffs. The squad participated in conditioning to conclude the practice. The team watched film on last night's scrimmage in meetings following the session.
"I like the effort of the players and I like the talent level," commented head coach Bobby Bowden about yesterday's scrimmage. "But we're not allowing the talent to take over because of mistakes. We can't coach experience, you get it. They learn every game."
"We're not blocking good enough yet, and our backs are not showing the vision they've got to have," commented Bowden on the running game.
There were no new injuries. The Seminoles will not practice on Sunday.
