Aug. 27, 1997 Seminoles prepare for USC with 20-period practiceTALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The No. 3 Florida State Seminoles continued preparation for their season opener against Southern California with a 20-period practice in shells this afternoon. The team started with the punting game and then worked in skeletons with the scout team. The squad scrimmaged for 15 minutes in the middle of practice. "We geared up for USC today," said head coach Bobby Bowden. "We went to scout squad today so that we could work on the USC game. We're picking up and polishing and trying to get better. We really worked a lot on fundamentals." "Now we're trying to react to what the other team is going to do," commented Bowden. |
