Tallahassee, Fla. - On Wednesday the Seminole football team got a little bit of rain but the team was able to make it through all 21 periods. On Thursday FSU was not quite as lucky. The squad didn't even make it through specialty before they were forced indoors due to lightning. The scheduled 15 period practice moved inside as both units took turns working in the turf room. The team will leave for Thomasville Friday.

QUOTES

Defensive Tackle Letroy Guion

On what he has seen of the NC State offense:
"They have a powerhouse running game. They can beat you a lot of different ways if you are not prepared to play. They have some good athletes out at wide receiver, they are tall. When the quarterback plays consistently, he can be very effective. The offensive line is big. We are going to go out there, do what we do best and get after them."

On the defense improving every week:

"If we continue to improve like we have been each week, I feel very confident in what we can do as a group. I think the way we played versus Alabama will carry over to this game. We want to keep getting better each week."

On the talk among the team about losing 4 of the last 6 to NC State:

"Sure we have talked about it. What they have been able to do over the last six years says a lot right there. They are not scared of us. I know they are going to give it their all. We are going to get after them the way we know how."

Wide Receiver Greg Carr

On how excited he is to play again and build on the second half of the Alabama game:
"I am really excited. Every time you have an opportunity to play you have to take advantage of it. We want to just go out, execute, have fun and do what we are capable of doing."

On how the offense is different with Xavier Lee under center

"We aren't really doing anything different. Regardless of who is the quarterback, things aren't going to change for us. We still have to go out there and execute. We are going to try and make plays and do the things we are capable of doing versus a tough defense."
