TALLAHASSEE, Fla . -- The Florida State football team held nearly four weeks of spring practices in preparation for the Garnet and Gold Game but there was one final task that needed to be completed before the Seminoles could take the field Saturday.

FSU needed to pick teams for the 4 p.m. game.

The 'Noles seniors tackled that job Friday afternoon by holding a "draft" in the coaches  conference room to establish the rosters for the Garnet and Gold teams.

The Garnet Team, which is led by such seniors as Rodney Smith, Cornellius Carradine, Dustin Hopkins and Anthony McCloud, selected junior safety Lamarcus Joyner with the first overall pick.

Paced by such seniors as EJ Manuel, Lonnie Pryor, Nick Moody and Brandon Jenkins, the Gold Team then selected redshirt freshman Kelvin Benjamin with the second overall pick.

Tailgate lots open at 9 a.m. and parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
