Spring Game on ESPN3.com

March 3, 2011

Florida State, ESPN3.com and ESPNU are collaborating to provide Seminole fans a chance to not only watch the 2011 Spring Football Game live on ESPN3.com and re-broadcasts on ESPNU. This will mark the first time the Florida State spring football game will be carried to a national audience.

ESPN3.com is currently available in 65 million households nationwide via dozens of affiliated service providers including Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, Cox and many more. It is also available to approximately 21 million U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers connected to on-campus educational networks and on-base military networks.

"We're thrilled that ESPN has selected our spring game to be carried on its family of networks," FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher said. "The national coverage for our football program during the spring time will be great. It's going to be something that our fans who are too far to make it to the game can really enjoy but we also look forward to seeing a packed stadium of loyal Seminole fans."

Florida State's 2011 Spring Football Game will take place Saturday, April 16 at 4 p.m. in Doak Campbell Stadium. The ESPN3.com broadcast of the game will be available on the Internet at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or cable TV subscription from an affiliated service provider. ESPN3.com is ESPN's live sports broadband network, giving fans a 24/7 online destination that delivers thousands of live sports events annually. The network is also available via the Xbox 360 gaming console through the Gold level membership on Xbox LIVE and an affiliated service provider.

ESPN3.com has become a daily destination for fans of college sports, and features thousands of live events annually. The 2010 college football regular season alone delivered over 6.2 million unique viewers and logged over 9.6 total hours consumed for the network, up 42% compared to the previous regular season.

The game is scheduled to be rebroadcast on ESPNU the same day as the game is broadcast originally on ESPN3.com. Fans will be able to leave the stadium, and if close enough, can make it home to catch the first re-air at 10 p.m. that same night. The game will be shown again on ESPNU April 26 at 1 p.m.
