Next on our list of signee breakdowns is wide receiver Isaiah Jones, who will immediately help fill the void left by Rodney Smith in the big-bodied wide receiver category.

Without Smith and Josh Gehres, who is headed to law school instead of returning for his redshirt senior season, on the roster, FSU has just one wide receiver returning that stands taller than 6-foot-2 in redshirt sophomore Kelvin Benjamin.

Enter: Jones.

The Milton, Fla. native is officially listed at 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds and has a frame capable of adding an additional 20 or so pounds of muscle. He joins a crowded depth chart that is highlighted by a host of seniors, star Rashad Greene, the up-and-coming Benjamin and speedster Marvin Bracy, among others.

His addition gives the 'Noles a much-needed physical presence and a talented prospect with a high ceiling. He won't win any speed competitions but his blend of size, physicality, strong hands and leaping ability will be a key component of 'Noles' passing attack. He also could develop in to a strong downfield blocker.

“[Jones is] a receiver that’s has great ball skills and can go across the middle," FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said. "He’s a very dynamic guy and then you add those speed guys around him, that’s a great combination of guys along with those guys coming back. I’m very excited about that group.”

Isaiah Jones is a consensus four-star signee.

Jones committed to Florida State on July 6, 2012 and never wavered from from that verbal pledge. He only took one official visit during the recruiting process: to FSU.

He chose the 'Noles over offers from such schools as Clemson, Arkanasas, Auburn, Georgia, Miami, Louisville, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia Tech, among others.

As for potential jersey number at FSU, Jones will have to pick a new one. The No. 2 he sported in high school is retired for the Seminoles in honor of Deion Sanders.
