Last week we looked at defensive backs and running backs, the quarterbacks and linebackers and then the defensive ends and wide receivers. Yesterday the breakdown was on defensive tackles and tight ends and we conclude today with a glimpse at the offensive linemen and special teams.

OFFENSIVE LINEMEN

Austin Barron

2012 Recap: Barron backed up Bryan Stork at center last season and played in eight games with one start when Stork was injured for the Savannah State contest.

2013 Spring Outlook: Barron's role in 2013 should be identical to what it was last year. He's a capable backup with starting experience that can step in if needed for Stork. This spring will be all about him continuing his development, getting stronger, staying healthy and preparing for the starting job to be his in 2014.

Ruben Carter

2012 Recap: A reserve as a redshirt freshman, Carter played in five games last year.

2013 Spring Outlook: A capable backup that is still getting stronger both physically and metally in Rick Trickett's system, Carter will use this spring to push for more playing time at guard or perhaps even at tackle where the Seminoles have an opening on the right side following the departure of Menelik Watson.

Cameron Erving

2012 Recap: In his first season as a left tackle, Erving had a terrific year considering he had had only ever played defensive line in his career. He finished the year as the every-game starter at left tackle.

2013 Spring Outlook: A year ago, Erving was the talk of spring practice after his surprise switch from defensive tackle to left tackle. This year, he'll once again be surrounded by lots of talk as he has the opportunity to take the next step in his career and potentially be one of the best left tackles in the entire conference. Erving made tremendous strides a year ago and has a very bright future. Now he gets to work at protecting a new starting quarterback following the graduation of EJ Manuel.

Garrett Faircloth

2012 Recap: Played in two of 14 games but was hindered all season by a hip injury.

2013 Spring Outlook: Faircloth has some starting experience at tackle and guard and he'll be in the mix for the job that was opened by Watson's departure this spring. If he can show that he's healthy, Faircloith could be a nice addition to the line because of his experience and veteran leadership qualities.

Daniel Foose

2012 Recap: Missed all of the 2012 season with an injury.

2013 Spring Outlook: Foose has battled injury issues since he came to FSU but the general consensus around the program is that if he can stay healthy, he could be a strong factor in the competition along the offensive line. Again, health is key but he could potentially be an option at right tackle, or perhaps in a backup role at guard behind Tre' Jackson and Josue Matias

Bobby Hart

Bobby Hart

2012 Recap: Played in a reserve role at tackle and guard as a true sophomore. Hart participated in eight of the Seminoles' 14 games.

2013 Spring Outlook: After starting eight games as a true freshman at right tackle before the addition of Watson last year, Hart could see a return to the starting lineup with a good spring. He could be considered the favorite to be atop the depth chart entering spring practices with Watson and Daniel Glauser no longer on the roster.

Tre' Jackson

2012 Recap: Jackson solidified himself as one of the better right guards in the ACC, starting all 14 games for the Seminoles as a true sophomore.

2013 Spring Outlook: Following a terrific season as a first-year starter, the future is very bright for Jackson, who will be asked to help ease the loss of Watson on the right side in his third spring in Tallahassee. This spring will be important for Jackson's continued development both as a blocker and as a leader.

Sterling Lovelady

2012 Recap: Lovelady played in six of 14 games as a reserve.

2013 Spring Outlook: Another capable backup on the line, Lovelady will compete for more playing time in the spring. Just because Erving, Jackson, Stork and Josue Matias are entrenched as starters doesn't mean that a player like Lovelady can't give offensive line coach Rick Trickett something to think about as starters are determined by practice performance.

Josue Matias

2012 Recap: Started all 14 games at left guard for the Seminoles while forming a nice combination with Jackson at the guard positions.

2013 Spring Outlook: The outlook for Matias is exactly the same as it is for Jackson. Both sophomores, it's all about improving as players and leaders and pacing an offensive unit that lost EJ Manuel and Chris Thompson. Matias has an NFL future and should only get better with each and every practice.

Henry Orelus

2012 Recap: Played in one game as a reserve last year.

2013 Spring Outlook: Orelus has bounced around different positions during his time at FSU and provides the 'Noles with a "utility man" type of role on the offensive line. He could full that same sort of role this spring, capable of being inserted into different positions for depth and competition purposes.

Trey Pettis

2012 Recap: Played in one game as a redshirt freshman.

2013 Spring Outlook: Pettis is one of several young offensive lineman backups on the roster. His second spring at Florida State will be spent getting better at one of the guard positions with the hopes of pushing Matias and Jackson for playing time.

Bryan Stork

2012 Recap: Started 13 of 14 games for the Seminoles at center in his redshirt junior year.

2013 Spring Outlook: Stork has played center, guard and tackle during his career at FSU and last season solidified himself as the No. 1 center on the roster. In his final spring in Tallahassee, Stork's two biggest objectives will be staying healthy and working on his snapping and communication with the 'Noles' quarterbacks as they compete for the starting job. How well the new starter does, has a lot to do with the ability to field snaps cleanly from Stork.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Roberto Aguayo

2012 Recap: Redshirted in his first year with the Seminoles.

2013 Spring Outlook: Aguayo enters his first spring at Florida State as the 'Noles' new starting kicker and the only player at his position on scholarship on the roster. Aguayo has big (and golden) shoes to fill with the departure of Dustin Hopkins. Aguayo spent his first season at FSU watching and learning as Hopkins set the NCAA record for most points in a career and most field goals made. Now it's his turn to put toe to leather and handle FSU's field goal, extra point and kick-off duties.

Cason Beatty

Cason Beatty

2012 Recap: Started all 14 games at punter as a true freshman and averaged 38.3 yards each time he booted the football with three of his 47 attempts traveling more than 50 yards and 23 stopping inside the 20-yard line.

2013 Spring Outlook: Beatty enrolled early so this will be his second spring in Tallahassee. Unlike last year, the sophomore now has a full season of experience to build off and improve. Beatty had his typical freshman growing pains in year No. 1 but showed flashes of his big leg and potential. Now it's all about working on consistency. The true sophomore will also step in to the role of holder on field goals and extra points in the wake of Chris Revell's graduation.

Philip Doumar

2012 Recap: Served as backup long snapper to Dax Dellenbach.

2013 Spring Outlook: Doumar will play an integral role in FSU's 2013 campaign and it all gets started this spring when he steps in as the team's new long snapper. Doumar will spend the spring working with Beatty extensively on the timing and consistency needed to be effective and mistake free in that very important part of the 'Noles' special teams efforts.
