Sophomore Year (2000): Slowed by an ankle injury throughout his sophomore year...started the season-opener against BYU in Jacksonville and appeared in a total of seven games all season...had his best game of the season against BYU...registered four tackles, one tackle for loss and two quarterback hurries against the Cougars...totaled 10 tackles, five unassisted, for the season...the defense's King of the Boards winner during the spring.

Freshman Year (1999): Played in 11 games and recorded 27 tackles and one tackle for loss...his 27 tackles ranked fourth among returning down linemen...had his best game against Duke when he recorded four total tackles and one tackle for loss...also recorded four tackles against Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Florida...garnered three tackles vs. Maryland and Louisiana Tech...recorded a third-down stop in Virginia game ...also saw time on special teams and had a block on return vs. North Carolina...was impressive coming off the bench against Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl.

1998: Redshirted along with most of his recruiting class.

High School: The Orange County Defensive Player of the Year after a dominating senior season at Jones High...recorded 128 tackles and six sacks during his final season...also forced six fumbles and recovered five despite nursing a fractured foot...broke his foot in the first game of the year but waited to have surgery until after the year...versatile performer in the prep ranks who played inside and outside linebacker, noseguard, tight end, fullback and deep snapper at Jones...led his team to the state playoffs all three of his years as a starter...All-Central Florida pick by the Orlando Sentinel...second team state Class 4A selection...finished as the state runner-up in the discus as a sophomore and junior...selected Florida State over Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia.
