Freshman Year (1996): Played in three games before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury...played in the Duke, North Carolina and Miami games...suffered a shoulder dislocation in practice prior to the Clemson game...had surgery to repair the injury the week of the Virginia contest...finished the year with seven tackles (one for loss)...had season-high three tackles against both Duke and North Carolina ...recorded his tackle for loss against Duke.
