At Florida State: Starting left defensive end since his sophomore year but battled injuries throughout the 1999 season...barring any setbacks from off-season reconstructive knee surgery, he and Jamal Reynolds will form one of the nation's best defensive end tandems...knee injury forced him out of Sugar Bowl but he plans to be ready to play early in the 2000 season...honorable mention All-ACC in 1999 despite missing three games with a shoulder injury...11.5 career sacks and 23 tackles for loss in three seasons.

Junior Year (1999): Second among returning linemen in total tackles in 1999...contributed 40 tackles and 22 solo tackles...also recorded four tackles for loss and two sacks...tied for team honors with seven tackles in season-opener against Louisiana Tech...had season-high eight tackles, one for loss and a sack against Georgia Tech...recorded seven tackles, including two for loss and a sack against Wake Forest...posted 22 tackles in a four game stretch versus Miami (5), Wake Forest (7), Clemson (6) and Virginia (4)...earned Victor's Club honors three times.

Sophomore Year (1998): Youngest starter on the defensive line...appeared in 12 of 13 games...missed only the season-ending win over Florida due to a sprained knee suffered against Wake Forest...tied for sixth on the team with 57 tackles (27 solo)...second on the team to All-American Corey Simon with 12 tackles for loss...forced three fumbles and recovered one...recorded six tackles (two for loss) and a half a sack at NC State...had a career-high 12 tackle outing against Duke...also had a tackle for loss and broke up a pass in that game...totaled seven stops, two for loss, and had a caused fumble that forced a safety at Maryland...had a banner day at Miami with a pair of sacks and a caused fumble that led to another safety...also had a team-high five intimidations in that contest ...registered seven tackles and caused and recovered, a fumble at Georgia Tech...made eight stops in the win over North Carolina.

Freshman Year (1997): Appeared in every game and split starting duties over the first four with Tony Bryant for an injured Greg Spires...started the first game of his redshirt freshman year at Southern California...made three tackles and recovered a fumble in the win...platooned with Bryant over the next three games (Maryland, Clemson and Miami)...played behind All-American Andre Wadsworth the remainder of the season...credited with 28 tackles, six sacks and seven tackles for loss on the season ...made a season-high eight tackles at Clemson, including a tackle for loss and a half a sack...closed the season strong with at least one sack in four of the final six regular season games.

1996: Sat out the season as a redshirt...was able to learn from All-American defensive ends Peter Boulware and Reinard Wilson.

High School: Runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year in Louisiana following his senior year at St Augustine...member of the National Recruiting Advisor's All-American team...Max Emfinger's top rated defensive lineman in the nation...received Jeff Whitaker's highest rating of 10.0...named to the Orlando Sentinel's All-Southern Team...selected Florida State over Tennessee, Florida, LSU and Texas.

Personal: Born January 22, 1979...majoring in sociology...uncle, Al Jenkins, was drafted by the Cleveland Browns and played nine seasons in the NFL...Jenkins was a member of the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins...hails from the same high school that produced former FSU standouts and NFL Draft picks Sean Jackson and Chris Cowart.
