Freshman Year (1997): Led the Seminoles in scoring with 85 points as a freshman...began the season as the starter on kickoffs...unseated incumbent starter Bill Gramatica from field goal and point after attempts after the Miami game...made 16-of-21 field goals and converted 37-of-39 extra points...was sixth in the nation with 1.45 field goals per game and 30th in the nation with 7.64 points per game...set a school record with a 56-yard field goal versus Wake Forest, which was also the second longest in the nation in 1997...the 56-yarder was also just one yard short of the ACC record...was perfect against the Demon Deacons with three field goals (21, 56 and 20 yards) and seven extra points...nailed 3-of-3 field goal attempts vs. Florida...42-of-84 kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.

High School: Virtually unknown in football circles until he decided to play during his senior season at Seabreeze High in Daytona...considered the state's top kicking prospect in recent memory after his only season...was 31-of-31 on extra points and 9-of-15 on field goals...nailed a career-high 60-yarder against Palatka for the second longest field goal in state history...also hit field goals from 56, 53 and 51 yards...just missed a 71-yard attempt...had just two kickoffs returned and 80 percent went through the endzone...first team All-USA selection by USA Today...also a Reebok All-American...a Florida Super Senior who was selected to play in the Florida-Georgia All-Star Game...earned All-America status from the National Recruiting Advisor and SuperPrep...listed as the state's top kicking prospect on the Florida Times-Union Super 75...listed at No. 20 on the Tampa Tribune's list top 50 state recruits and among their top 100 nationally...also listed on the Tallahassee Democrat's Top 50...scored a state record 69 goals as a senior for his school's soccer team...chose Florida State over Tennessee, Miami and Michigan.

Personal: Born on March 2, 1978...former member of the Polish national under-17 soccer team...left Poland at age 15 to be closer to his father...turned down various professional soccer contract offers in South America to enroll at Florida State.
