Redshirt Freshman Year (1997): Made an immediate impact in a deep receiving corps during his redshirt freshman season...played in every game and finished with 11 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown...scored his first collegiate TD on a 20-yard hookup with Thad Busby in FSU’s 38-0 shutout of Georgia Tech...season-long catch was a 23-yarder against Miami...posted season-highs of three receptions and 53 receiving yards against Georgia Tech...also ran twice on reverses for six yards... Freshman Year (1996): Sat out the season as a redshirt...impressed coaches with his play early in preseason practice and may have seen some game time but suffered a broken arm in a preseason scrimmage that dictated his redshirt...
