Sophomore Year (1998): Played in 10 games after missing the Texas A&M and NC State games...suffered a sprained knee in preseason drills which kept him out of the first two games...recorded 10 carries for 22 yards and two touchdowns on the season...added two receptions for eight yards...scored his first touchdown of the year on a one-yard plunge against Duke and recorded a season-high five attempts for seven yards against the Blue Devils...added a TD run in the victory over Miami...rushed the ball four times for nine yards and a touchdown in the National Championship game vs. Tennessee...named to the Victor's Club after four games...also saw time on special teams.
Freshman Year (1997): One of 14 true freshmen to play... appeared in every game at fullback and on special teams...ran six times for 22 yards during the regular season but did not score on the ground...added eight catches for 77 yards and a TD out of the backfield...touchdown came on a nine-yard pass from Chris Weinke against Maryland...capped his rookie season with a pair of touchdowns in the Sugar Bowl win against Ohio State...TDs came on a pair of one-yard plunges.
High School: Rushed for over 3,000 yards during his final two seasons at the Bolles School...carried his team to the state title as a junior with a 274-yard, two-touchdown rushing performance...was a three-year starter...considered the state's top fullback prospect as a senior...combined for over 1,500 all-purpose yards, including 976 rushing, and scored 35 touchdowns as a senior...twice earned Class 4A first team all-state honors...rated as the No. 21 prospect in Florida and the country's No. 4 fullback by SuperPrep...was an honorable mention All-America selection by USA Today...earned Florida Times Union Player of the Year honors... chose the Seminoles over Alabama...prep teammate of former FSU All-ACC offensive tackle Char-ron Dorsey.
