At Florida State: A former walk-on who earned a scholarship just prior to the season opener in 2001...FSU's only senior receiver ...begins the season fourth on the depth chart at the split end position...has played in 25 consecutive games including the 2001 Gator Bowl and the 2002 Sugar Bowl...was a member of Florida State's 2000 team that played for the national championship in the Orange Bowl...earned the team award as the top offensive non-scholarship player as the surprise player of spring drills in 2000.

Junior Year (2002): Played in all 13 games as a wide receiver and on special teams...did not catch a pass...had a key fumble recovery in Florida State's victory over Virginia...recovery led to a five-yard touchdown run by Willie Reid.

Sophomore Year (2001): Played in eight of 12 games...totaled five catches for 35 yards including a career-high three catches for a career-high 20 yards against Florida...became an important mem-ber of the wide receiver unit which was hit hard by injuries beginning in pre-season practice...his role grew early in fall practice when receivers Robert Morgan and Anquan Boldin suffered season-ending knee injuries...an ankle injury forced him to miss four games during the middle of the season...also had one reception each in victories over Duke and Alabama Birmingham during the first two games of the season...used mainly in short yardage situations with his longest catch of nine yards coming against the Blue Devils.

Freshman Year (2000): Earned playing time on special teams in two games during the season as the Seminoles played for the national championship...played in Florida State's victories over Louisville and NC State.

1999: A redshirt season.

High School: Graduated from Niceville High School in 1999...all-county second team selection as a senior quarterback...threw for 900 yards, nine touchdowns and zero interceptions while rushing for 440 yards and six touchdowns...Niceville made four appearances in the state playoffs and played in the district championship game four times while he was a member of the varsity...named the football team's top academic performer as a junior and senior...also earned varsity letters in basketball and baseball during his prep career...earned all-county second-team honors in basketball as a senior.

Personal: Born March 4, 1981...major is biochemistry...one of two players on the team with a biochemistry major - the other is Chase Goggans.
