At Florida State: Has the size and arm strength to be an excellent passer...completed two passes for 21 yards playing behind Chris Weinke for the Garnet team in the spring game...enters his junior campaign listed third on the depth chart behind veteran seniors Chris Weinke and Marcus Outzen, but could redshirt this season...saw playing time in four games last year...was one of four true freshmen to see action in 1998...was named the most improved quarterback at the conclusion of spring drills last year.

Sophomore Year (1999): FSU’s third-team quarterback in just his second season with the Seminoles...completed five of 13 attempts for 25 yards with two interceptions while playing in four games...saw action against Louisiana Tech, UNC, Duke and Maryland.

Freshman Year (1998): Forced into action after starting quarterback Chris Weinke went down with a serious neck injury in the Virginia game...played in one game, completing 2-of-6 passes for eight yards against Wake Forest...was hoping to redshirt but coaches felt that he needed to see playing time if called on against Florida or in the National Championship game...spent much of his first season learning the complicated FSU offensive system.

High School: Joined Weinke and former Seminole Dan Kendra as the third Parade All-American quarterback on the Seminole roster when he signed...rated the No. 5 quarterback and No. 26 overall prospect in the country by the Tampa Tribune....tabbed as the No. 7 QB in the country by Tom Lemming and 12th by Super Prep ...listed as the sixth-best QB in the country and No. 37 prospect nationally by the National Recruiting Advisor...completed 62 of 124 passes for 684 yards as a senior is a run-oriented attack...carried the ball 70 times for 317 yards and one touchdown...a first-team all-state selection as a free safety during senior campaign...highly-touted baseball prospect who was selected in the 27th round by the Baltimore Orioles...selected FSU over Washington and Tennessee.

Personal: Attended the same high school as New England Patriot quarterback Drew Bledsoe...born June 25, 1980...majoring in sports management.
