At Florida State: Outstanding linebacker who should contend for All-America honors as a senior...will be a three-year starter in the middle for the Seminoles...started for the Seminoles in the 1999 and 2000 National Championship games...key member of an FSU linebacking corps that limited Oklahoma to just 56 rushing yards in the 2001 Orange Bowl...one of the hardest hitters the program has seen in recent years...excellent as a run stopper in short yardage situations...has worked himself into the prototype a middle linebacker with strength to stop the run and speed to chase down the sweep...already has 222 career tackles and should finish his career as one of the school's top 10 all-time tacklers...exceptional against the run...with another productive season, should become part of the great FSU linebacker legacy that includes Marvin Jones, Sam Cowart and Derrick Brooks.

Junior Year (2000): Tied for the team lead in tackles with 102 last season...had 38 unassisted and 64 assists on the season ...also credited with three passes broken up and eight quarterback hurries...recovered two fumbles on the year...had his best game against Florida in the season finale with seven solo stops and four assists...had a total of 12 tackles, six solo, in the win over Georgia Tech...totaled 10 or more tackles in seven games ...had five solo and nine assists against Louisville.

Sophomore Year (1999): Started every game at middle linebacker...finished third on the team with 94 total tackles...40 of his stops were unassisted...also made two tackles for loss and had a quarterback sack...earned Victor's Club honors from the coaching staff for nine games (Louisiana Tech, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, Miami, Wake Forest, Clemson, Virginia and Maryland)...had five double figure tackle games...posted a career-high 14 tackles at North Carolina...had 11 against Miami, Wake Forest and at Clemson...made 10 tackles against Maryland...sack came at North Carolina...had an interception in the win over Florida.

Freshman Year (1998): Saw playing time backing up Brian Allen and Demetro Stephens at middle linebacker ...recorded 26 total tackles, 14 of which were solo...registered tackles for loss against NC State and Clemson...pulled down the first interception of his career and returned it seven yards versus Virginia...had three knock ‘em backs and three intimidations on the season...piled up a career-high eight tackles against Clemson...named to Victor's Club by coaches in Virginia and Clemson contests...earned Victor's Club kicking game honors against Florida.

1997: Redshirted.

High School: Emerged late in the recruiting season after leading Carol City to the Class 6A state title...led the Chiefs in tackles and had a dominating performance in state championship game...a first-team Class 6A pick as a senior...listed as the No. 60 prospect in Florida by SuperPrep...rated as the No. 3 linebacker in Florida by the Florida Times-Union...selected FSU over Auburn and West Virginia.
