Junior Year (2000): Played in 12 of Florida State's 13 games, including the National Championship game against Oklahoma, as the backup to All-ACC selection Derrick Gibson... recorded a career-high 33 tackles including a career-high 20 unassisted stops...career-high six tackles came in the season opener against Brigham Young and against North Carolina ...his defensive totals against BYU included a career-high five solo tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass break-up...totaled a career-high two tackles for loss on the season with one coming against Brigham Young and one coming against North Carolina...tackle for minus yardage against North Carolina was the first quarterback sack of his career...named to the Victor's Club four times during the season with the rewards coming for his play against Brigham Young, North Carolina, Louisville and Duke...collected at least one tackle in 10 of the Seminoles' 11 regular season games and had 21 total tackles in eight ACC games...recovered a fumble in the Seminoles' victory over NC State...recorded his second career interception against Clemson in Doak Campbell Stadium.

Sophomore Year (1999): Played in 11 games including Florida State's national championship clinching victory over Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl...had two tackles in the Sugar Bowl...earned the majority of his playing time on special teams...totaled 24 total tackles (11 unassisted and 13 assisted)... recorded his second career interception and returned it for a touchdown against NC State...added four tackles against the Wolfpack as the Seminoles won at home...a career-high eight total tackles came against North Carolina...his eight unassisted tackles were as many as he recorded in the first three games of the season and as many as he would record in his final six games of the season...had 17 total tackles in a three-game span against NC State (four), North Carolina (eight) and Duke (five).

1998: Redshirted after suffering a compound finger fracture during pre-season drills.

Freshman Year (1997): Gained valuable experience as a true freshman as he played in a backup role to All-ACC selection and current Tennessee Titan, Samari Rolle...also earned playing time on special teams...played in nine games and recorded five total tackles...had a season-high three unassisted tackles in the Seminoles' victory against Miami...recorded pass break-ups in Duke and Wake Forest games...had six intimidations and five blocks on kick returns...recorded his first career interception against Georgia Tech and returned it 31 yards.

High School: Graduated from Shanks High School...named to the Class 4A all-state team as a senior...excelled at three different positions during his prep career...named to the Atlanta Journal Constitution SuperSouthern 100, the Gainesville Sun Top 30 and Tallahassee Democrat Top 50...rated as the 14th-best defensive back nationally by SuperPrep...ranked as the No. 4 free safety and the No. 61 overall prospect in the nation by the National Recruiting Advisor...listed No. 65 nationally and No. 15 in the South at free safety by Tom Lemming...selected Florida State over Georgia, Florida, Ohio State and Nebraska ...scored 12 touchdowns and totaled 1,190 all-purpose yards on offense and 116 tackles and five interceptions on defense as a senior...opposing quarterbacks threw at him only nine times and completed only one pass when he lined up as a cornerback his senior season.

Personal: Born Jan. 27, 1979...major is criminology... attended the same high school as former Seminole and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer defensive back Dexter Jackson and current Seminole men's basketball player Monte Cummings.
