At Florida State: Returns for the third straight season as the starting rover...has started every game for FSU over the past two seasons...won the big hitter award after an outstanding spring...a preseason All-American by Playboy...strongest member of the FSU secondary with a bench press of 420 lbs....runs a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash...key member of FSU defense that ranked first in the ACC in scoring defense and 10th in the nation (15.8) last season.

Junior Year (1999): An outstanding performer in 1999 who started every game at the rover position...second team All-ACC selection...fifth on the team in tackles with 73, including 45 solo stops...played an exceptional game in the national title matchup against Virginia Tech registering six tackles (five solo), one tackle for loss and a forced fumble on fourth-and-goal...tied for the team lead with four interceptions helping the Seminoles lead the nation with 22 interceptions...had three tackles for loss and two quarterback sacks...only Mario Edwards (nine) broke up more passes on the season.

Sophomore Year (1998): Started every game at rover... registered 46 tackles on the year, doubling his total from his freshman campaign...29 of his stops were unassisted...recorded tackles for loss against Maryland and Virginia...made a career-high 10 tackles in the NC State game... credited with nine stops against Virginia...intercepted a pass in the Duke game to set up an FSU score by Peter Warrick...deflected a pass against Clemson...also a member of special teams...garnered Victor's Club honors nine times.

Freshman Year (1997): Credited with 23 tackles, including 14 solo, as a backup at the rover position...had a season-high five tackles against both Duke and Virginia...all five tackles against the Blue Devils were solo...recovered a punt blocked by Tommy Polley and returned it one yard for a touchdown in Duke game...was also active on special teams...had one intimidation, one block on return and one knock 'em back...named to the Victor's Club six times for special teams... played in season opener at Southern California as a true freshman and recorded one tackle.

High School: USA Today first-team All-American selection following his senior year at Miami Killian High School...also named to SuperPrep's first team and named the No. 4 prospect nationally by the same publication...earned Class 6A All-State honors as a senior...rated the No. 1 prospect in state of Florida by several analysts...recorded 65 tackles, caused eight fumbles, had seven sacks and two interceptions during his senior year...missed three games in that season due to a shoulder injury...named to the PrepStar Dream Team...selected Southeast Defensive Player of the Year by Tom Lemming...Reebok All-American team selection...chose FSU over Auburn, Ohio State and Miami.
