At Florida State: Will be a backup at free safety for the second straight year...played at cornerback his first two seasons in the Seminoles program...has been a mainstay on special teams throughout his career...made transition to defense after career as one of the state's most acclaimed high school wide receivers.

Junior Year (1998): Saw action as a reserve behind Dexter Jackson at free safety...played in all 13 games...was a member of several FSU special teams...recorded 12 tackles, including four solo stops...caused a fumble versus Duke...returned four kickoffs on the season, averaging 12.8 yards per return...earned kicking game Victor's Club distinction in six games.

Sophomore Year (1997): Credited with 10 tackles...saw action in 12 games at cornerback...recorded two intimidations, one tackle inside the 25-yard line and one third-down stop...had pass break-ups against Georgia Tech and Wake Forest...served on the kick return squad and returned two kickoffs...had a season-high three tackles in three games against Miami, Wake Forest and Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl...earned Victor's Club honors six times as a member of the special teams unit... recorded first sack of his career in the Sugar Bowl victory over Ohio State.

Freshman Year (1996): Recorded lone tackle of the season on a third-down stop in season-opener against Duke...was a member on the special teams kickoff unit as a redshirt fresh-man...earned defensive scout team player of the year honors following the season.

High School: Caught 35 passes for 563 yards and three touchdowns as a senior at Suwannee High in Live Oak, FL...the National Recruiting Advisor's No. 17 wide receiver in the South...member of Gainesville Sun All-Area team...played offense, defense and special teams at Suwannee.

Personal: Marketing and management major...born November 23, 1976...brother, Matt, was a star wide receiver on FSU's 1993 National Championship team..rooms with Pete Henderson and Jason Whitaker.
