At Florida State: Locked in a battle with Nick Maddox and Greg Jones for the starting job at tailback...will open fall practice listed at second team behind Maddox on the depth chart...one of the fastest Seminoles on the roster who recorded a 40-yard dash time of 4.25 last spring following knee surgery...could also see action as a kick returner...has been hampered by injuries during his FSU career as he missed the final four games the 2000 season with a fractured clavicle and the entire 1998 season following reconstructive knee surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee.

Junior Year (2000): Rushed for a career-high 239 yards on 38 carries to rank fourth on the team...scored a career-best three touchdowns on the season...also established a career-high with an average of 6.3 yards per carry...spent most of the year backing up seniors Travis Minor and Jeff Chaney at tailback...missed the last four games, including the Orange Bowl, after fracturing his clavicle at Wake Forest...had a career-long 82-yard touchdown run against Clemson...also saw time as a kick returner, bringing back two kickoffs for 27 yards...caught one pass for six yards...carried 12 times for 57 yards and one TD at Maryland.

Sophomore Year (1999): Returned to action after missing 1998 with a torn ACL...carried 19 times for 75 yards in a reserve role at tailback...also caught two passes for 23 yards...saw his first game action of the year against NC State and rushed for 34 yards on three attempts...also played in the UNC, Duke and Maryland games.

1998: Missed the entire season after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee on the first day of practice in the Superdome prior to the win over Ohio State in the 1998 Sugar Bowl...was able to redshirt after playing as a true freshman.

Freshman Year (1997): Enjoyed a solid rookie season...one of 14 true freshmen on the Seminole roster to see game action...one of three freshmen to earn a start at tailback...finished second on the team in rushing with 258 yards on 61 carries...scored one touchdown and averaged 4.2 yards per attempt...also caught seven passes for 48 yards and returned one kickoff for 10 yards...started for the first time against Georgia Tech and ran for 29 yards on seven carries...best game came against Miami when he rushed for 69 yards on 14 carries...scored his only touchdown of the season on a nine-yard run at Duke...finished that game with 58 yards on 11 attempts...ran five times for 44 yards against Maryland...did not play at Clemson or in the Sugar Bowl vs. Ohio State.

High School: Rushed for 743 yards and seven touchdowns in just four games as a senior at Cardinal Newman High School...also returned two kickoffs for scores and caught two TD passes...suffered a broken collarbone while returning the opening kickoff in his senior season's fifth game that ended his prep career...as a junior, ran for 1,587 yards to earn second team all-state honors...rated the No. 9 prospect in Florida and the No. 9 running back nationally by SuperPrep...earned prep All-America honors from the National Recruiting Advisor ...named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super Southern 100, the Tallahassee Democrat Top 50 and the Florida Times Union Super 75...won the state Class 3A 100-meter title as a senior with a 10.3 clocking ...selected FSU over Ohio State, Florida and Michigan State.
