Freshman Year (1999): Recorded 16 total tackles and seven solo stops while appearing in nine games for the Seminoles...recorded four tackles and his first career sack at North Carolina...had a season-high five tackles in a win over Wake Forest and another four tackle performance versus North Carolina State.

1998: Redshirted along with the majority of his recruiting class...worked on his conditioning and dropped 15 pounds from his 300-pound weight upon arrival at FSU.

High School: Highly acclaimed prospect out of Woodward Academy...was a second team All-USA choice by USA Today ...recorded 73 tackles, seven sacks and blocked a kick during his senior season to earn first team all-state honors...led his team to an 11-1 season...listed as the No. 5 defensive lineman by recruiting analyst Tom Lemming...also listed as one of the country's top five defensive linemen and an All-American by the National Recruiting Advisor...selected to play in the Florida-Georgia All-Star Game...won the state shot put title as a junior...also a high school honor student...chose FSU over Georgia, Tennessee, Notre Dame and North Carolina.
