At Florida State: Will compete with Leroy Smith for starting honors at the right cornerback position...consistent performer who has started 21of the last 23 games, including all 14 contests in 2002 ...has played in 39 consecutive games (every game during the lastthree seasons) including the national title game at the 2000 Orange Bowl, the 2001 Gator Bowl and the 2002 Sugar Bowl...ranked 17th on the team in tackles as a junior and was fourth among defensive backs with 25 solo tackles...has bettered his total tackles with each season and has averaged 26.0 tackles per season...earned the award for most improved defensive back following spring drills in 1999.

Junior Year (2002): Was the only Seminole defensive back to start all 14 games...set career-highs for tackles for loss, pass break-ups, forced fumbles, interceptions and starts...tied for second on the squad with two interceptions...was third on the team in pass break-ups with eight...was fourth among the defensive backs with 25 solo tackles and 10th among all Seminole defenders...was among the team leaders with a season-high five solo tackles in the Notre Dame game...ranked in the top 10 in the ACC in three categories: seventh in passes defended, eighth in interceptions in conference games and tied for ninth in passes defended in ACC contests.

Sophomore Year (2001): Started seven of the final eight regular season games and was a starter in the Gator Bowl at right cornerback after beginning the season as the back-up to Stanford Samuels...ranked 15th on the team in tackles with a career-high 29 stops...his 24 solo tackles were the ninth best among all Seminole defenders...recorded a career-high six tackles and tied his career-high with three solo tackles in the Seminoles' victory against Virginia...also had three solo tackles against Wake Forest, Miami and at Clemson...credited with five unassisted tackles and a pass deflection in the final game of the regular season against Georgia Tech...first career fumble recovery came against No. 10 Maryland with 12 minutes remaining in the game...recorded two pass break-ups, one against Wake Forest and the other against Florida.

Freshman Year (2000): Earned playing time in all 13 games including the national championship game against Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl as a back-up at the right cornerback position...also had extensive playing time on special teams...recorded 18 total tackles (12 unassisted and six assisted)...recorded a season-high three tackles and earned his first career interception against Duke...returned the interception 28-yards in the victory over the Blue Devils...also had a season-high tying three tackles against North Carolina and Florida...two tackles each against Georgia Tech, Maryland, Vir-ginia and NC State.

1999: Redshirted as a true freshman...won academic award as top performing freshman in the classroom.

High School: Graduated from John Austin High School in El Paso, TX in 1999...rated No. 6 by PrepStar in its listing of top prep athletes in the nation and the second best athlete in the Big 12 region ...ranked as the nation's 71st best prep player in the nation according to the National Recruiting Advisor...the No. 62 prospect in the Southwest by Tom Lemming...was an option quarterback in high school...ran a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash and qualified for the regional track and field championship meet in the long jump as a senior...selected Florida State over Texas and Arizona.
