At Florida State: Will battle newcomer Milford Brown for starting honors at split guard this season...moved over from the defensive line following his freshman season and provided much needed depth on the offensive line...has gradually worked his way into more time on the field...enters fall practice No. 2 on the depth chart at the split guard position...has been a mainstay on FSU special teams.

Junior Year (2000): Backed up starter Justin Amman at the split guard position...first year with full-time duty on the offensive line after playing mostly special teams as a sopho-more...did not allow a quarterback sack...had a season-high three intimidations against Clemson as Florida State won at home 54-7...had at least one intimidation in each game for a season total of 18...one of 16 players to earn his degree prior to the bowl game.

Sophomore Year (1999): Saw most of his playing time on Seminole special teams as a sophomore...played at both tackle positions.

Freshman Year (1998): Did not see any action during the season...slowed by his transition from the defensive line during preseason practice...worked with the Seminole scout units.

Freshman Year (1997): Redshirted.

High School: Rated among the top 20 offensive lineman in the Southeast by PrepStar...earned honorable mention USA Today All-USA status...led Pahokee to the state semifinals as a senior...a two-time Class 3A all-state second team selection ...chose FSU over Ohio State, West Virginia, Auburn and Michigan State.

Personal: Cousin Anquan Boldin is a junior quarterback/wide receiver with the Seminoles...earned degree in criminology in December of 2000...born April 6, 1978.
