TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State, which opened its 2009-10 season with an 87-61 victory over Jacksonville, looks to improve its record to 2-0 when it plays host to Stetson on Nov. 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee. The Seminoles won their eighth consecutive season opener under eight-year head coach Leonard Hamilton and hope to improve to 2-0 for the seventh time under Hamilton with a victory against the Hatters. Florida State's game against Stetson is its second in three days and its second of seven in the first 17 days of the season. During the first 17 days of their season, the Seminoles play two games at home (against Jacksonville and Stetson) and five games on the road (at Mercer, at Florida, three games in the Old Spice Classic in Orlando and at Ohio State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.) Following Wednesday's game against Stetson, the Seminoles travel to play at Mercer University on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. That game will be televised by Fox Sports South and can be seen on the SunsSports and College Sports Southeast sports networks.

"The trio of (Solomon) Alabi, (Chris) Singleton and (Michael) Snaer can match up with just about anyone in the ACC - and maybe even the country. The Seminoles could challenge for league supremacy in the ACC." Jeff Goodman FoxSports.com
